Holy Spirit Girls' National School Ballymun

Dear Parents/Guardians, 

We have had an update from the Archbishop of Dublin this morning. He has informed us that the Confirmation  may go ahead on  Thursday August 19th 2021. We are delighted to once again have a date. 

1. Each child may only bring two adults into the church with them, one of which will be the child's sponsor. 

2. There will be no exceptions made to the numbers.  No extra children/babies or relations will be able to go in, so please plan for this.  Please do not put us in the difficult position of having to say no.  It would be very upsetting for everyone.

3. On the day entry will be through the side door of the Church.  The ceremony will last for approximately 1 hour.

4. The ceremony will be available to view online on the Church webcam https://www.stpappinsparish.com/webcam-1

5. Everyone who enters the Church (pupils and adults) must wear a mask, there are no exceptions.  Entry will not be permitted without a mask.

Times for Confirmation Ceremony:

Mr. Kennedy's Class Confirmation time - 2.00p.m.

Ms. Leyden's Class Confirmation time - 3.30 p.m.

Please arrive 10 minutes early as we must record names and numbers for contact tracing purposes.  This will happen at the side door as you enter the church.

As you know, all of this is out of my hands and I hope that this will not change again, but I need to let you know that all of the above is subject to change depending on public health advice.  I will let you know of any changes through Komeer/text message.  If you have any worries or queries you can email me at principal@holyspiritgns.ie

Please pass this information on to any families who are not on Komeer as we would like everyone to be notified as soon as possible.
